Watkins Hire Ltd acquired by Carrier Rental Systems as part of strategic growth plan
Carrier Rental Systems (UK) Ltd, a UK subsidiary of US public company United Technologies Corp (UTC), has acquired Watkins Hire Ltd with immediate effect.
Carrier Rental Systems operates a nationwide rental service for high-performance chillers, air handling units, heaters and boilers, and works with related UK businesses SLD Pumps & Power and Toshiba Carrier UK to offer a complete service for industry, buildings and events.
This is an exciting time for both Carrier Rental Systems and Watkins Hire Ltd. Combining the strengths of these two specialist temperature control companies has created a major force in the UK temperature control market.
The respective teams are working closely to ensure a smooth transition. Watkins Hire will maintain its traditional high levels of customer service and support during the transition process. As a result of the acquisition, our customers will benefit from broader geographic coverage, an extensive combined rental fleet and expanded service support.
