Watkins Hire has won a major temperature control emergency planning service contract to supply a standby boiler and fuel tank package to a major UK hospital in the event of a failure.
The enquiry came in following an initial LinkedIn post, promoting Watkins Temperature Control Emergency Planning Service (TCEPS). A major FM company responded the very same day to the LinkedIn post requesting a meeting to discuss TCEPS in more detail.
After many meetings, surveys and involvement from design consultants a 3,000 medium temp hot water boiler and fuel tank package was specified. The trust agreed a 4 week trial of the equipment at the site on standard weekly hire rates and then a minimum 52 week contract for the package to remain on site in case of failure. The project is likely to be extended year on year.
Watkins Hire MBR 3000 MTHW DF mobile boiler hire unit is capable of providing temporary heating and can be either connected to existing pipe work using flexible hoses or with AHUs for a standalone option. Suitable for low or medium temperature applications up to 120 degrees.
